Welcome your little students home in a delicious way with an after-school snack board. Packed with nutritious foods, fun snacks and a sweet treat or two, it’s the perfect way to recharge your batteries after a long day at school.

If they come home hungry, you’re ready! This after-school snack board is packed with nutritious foods, fun snacks, and even the odd sweet treat. It’s the perfect way to help your little students recharge their batteries after a long day of study, and it’s also fun at any after-school playdate!

What do I need to DIY an after school snack board?

  • hummus
  • peanut butter
  • Snack mix (made with peanuts, mini pretzels, chocolate chips and M&M’s)
  • cheese cubes
  • pieces of celery
  • apple pieces
  • Tangerine segments
  • Green halves of grapes
  • strawberry halves
  • Goldfish Crackers
  • Dried cranberries
  • Yoghurt covered pretzels
  • Mini Chocolate Chip Cookies
  • Snack Balls (this recipe is mine Brilliant bites cookbook, but you could also make my No-Bake Energy Bites or Monster Cookie Balls)
  • Small round wooden board

How to make an after school snack board

  • To assemble the snack board, use a wooden board or serving platter of the desired size and shape.
  • Begin by placing hummus, peanut butter, and the snack mix in small serving bowls on the board.
  • Place the cheese cubes in the center of the bowls on the board.
  • Arrange celery, apple slices, tangerines, green grapes and strawberries on the board.
  • Place the goldfish crackers, dried cranberries, yogurt covered pretzels, mini chocolate chip cookies, and snack balls in the remaining gaps on the board.
  • Serve and enjoy!
