I’ve always been a big fan of homemade chips. But the roast is not for me. Too messy and too much fat. But just ten minutes in a hot oven and wow! Crunchy, crunchy homemade pita chips that are awesome!

And this homemade pita chip recipe is so easy, friends! The whole thing takes about 15 minutes. Then they’re ready to dip in some hummus or just snack on!

What do I need to make baked pita chips?

  • Round flatbreads / flatbreads
  • Kosher salt
  • garlic powder
  • Dried oregano
  • Dried Parsley
  • olive oil
  • baking tray
  • Nonstick Cooking Spray

How to make baked pita chips

  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Spray a sheet pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Cut each flatbread into 8 triangles.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the salt, garlic powder, oregano, and parsley.
  • Arrange the pita triangles in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Brush the tips evenly with half of the extra virgin olive oil. Sprinkle half of the spice mixture evenly over the pita triangles.
  • Turn the pita triangles over. Then brush the tops with the remaining olive oil and sprinkle with the remaining spice mixture.

  • Place in the oven and bake for 6 minutes. Remove from the oven and flip each pita triangle. Then return to the oven to crisp up the other sides for about 4 more minutes.

How to store baked pita chips

To store baked pita chips, allow to cool completely. Then transfer to an airtight container or ziplock bag and store at room temperature for 2-3 days.

  • 3 (7 to 8 inch) round flatbreads (each cut into 8th triangles)
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil


  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Spray a sheet pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Cut each flatbread into 8 triangles.
