Fig and Date Dessert

250 g figs
250 g dates
500 ml cream
70 g granulated sugar
125 ml coconut milk
1 sponge cake
2 gr sahlep powder
For presentation:
Dried fruit
50 ml ice cream

Chop the figs and dates into small pieces. Take half of the cream in the pan. Add the figs and dates and bring to a boil. Cook while it is boiling on the stove, stirring constantly with a whisk. Remove the softened mixture from the stove and let it cool. Puree with hand brander. On the other hand, mix the coconut milk with the remaining half of the cream. Add powdered sugar and bring to a boil. Add the sahlep powder while it is boiling and when it thickens, remove it from the stove. Wet the sponge cake with the sauce you prepared and add the fig date puree on it. Cut with a small round mold if you wish. Take it on a serving plate and serve with dried fruit and ice cream.
