Did you also know that Saturn is also known as the king of the moons? Saturn has many different moons, ranging in size from super small to larger than the planet Mercury.   2. Saturn is the second largest planet in our solar system after Jupiter.
  3. Saturn’s surface area is 83 times that of Earth.
  4. Saturn has 82 known moons, but there are likely more out there.
  5. Triton is one of Saturn’s moons and the second largest moon after Jupiter’s moon Ganymede.

  1. Saturn has periodic storms called White Spots large enough to be seen from Earth.

  4. Saturn has the lowest density of all planets. If you put Saturn on water, the planet would float.
  5. Saturn is the most oblate planet in our solar system, meaning it appears oblate when viewed through a telescope.
