Have you ever heard of a fairy sandwich? If not, you’re missing out! It’s such a fun sandwich that tastes so good and has a touch of magic thanks to the sprinkles. Your little one will love all aspects of this fairy sandwich, from the jam to the cream cheese to the sprinkles. Not only is this fairy sandwich easy and fun, it’s also a budget-friendly recipe!

Delicious fairy sandwich

Give your child a special treat in the lunch box. Make a fairy sandwich to brighten up your day!

It’s not long before school starts and the lunch box problems begin. A fairy sandwich is the perfect treat for adding some variety, celebrating a special occasion, or just planning a fun lunch! Both my kids love the surprise of finding one in their boxes.

Ingredients needed for a fairy sandwich:

Two pieces of bread
Soft Fillers (PB&J, Sunbutter, Cream Cheese & Jelly, etc.)
Small cuttereach shape, about an inch in diameter
sprinkles for cookies

Follow each step to make a delicious fairy sandwich!

How to make a fairy sandwich

Step 1

To make a fairy sandwich, simply use your cutter once on a slice of bread.

step 2

Spread your fillings on the other slice of bread and place the top slice on top.

step 3

Using a spoon, gently pour a layer of sprinkles onto the cut out area.

step 4

Press the sprinkles down so they stick to the filling. All you need is a thin layer of sprinkles.

step 5

Once the area is filled in and pressed, place your sandwich in a sandwich box and place in the fridge.

Remarks:

Don’t forget to keep it a secret until lunchtime!

These sandwiches work best with soft and sweet fillings, as listed above, to help the sprinkles stick to the sandwich. Be sure to check your child’s school allergy guidelines before using peanut butter, or choose an allergy-friendly alternative.
