Easy Star Wars Cookies
Did you notice that the shape of Darth Vader’s head resembles a bell? Well, get out those Christmas cookie cutters and let’s get to baking…
My son loves all things Star Wars and he was so excited about these cookies.
We made them together with some others Star Wars crafts for kids to celebrate the fourth of May.



When I found out how to have everything I needed to bake these adorable Star Wars-inspired cookies, I couldn’t wait to get started.

OK! Let’s bake cookies… or decorate them!



Step 1
Roll out your chilled sugar cookie dough. Use the bell cutter to cut out the bell shapes.

Use a knife to cut out the top part of the bell created by the bell cutter and the clapper area on the bottom.

Now it’s time to bake your cookies! Bake them according to your recipe.
Tip for Sugar Cookies: Freeze them for 5-10 minutes before baking to help the cookies hold their shape in the oven.

Once the cookies are done, set them on racks to cool completely.
Use the black royal icing to spritz an outline around Darth Vader’s head.

Flood the piped outline with black icing.
Let dry.

Add Darth Vader’s helmet details with the white royal frosting.

Ingredients
Batch of popular sugar cookie dough, chilled
Black royal glaze
White royal glaze
Knife
Bell Cookie Cutter
baking tray
wire rack
instructions
- Roll out chilled sugar cookie dough.
- Use the bell cutter to cut out cookies.
- Using a knife, cut the top and bottom of each bell to resemble Darth Vader’s helmet shape.
- Bake according to cookie instructions.
- Cool on a wire rack.
- Pipe black royal icing around the outside of the helmet shape.
- Fill the piping with a flood of black icing.
- Let dry.
- Add white outlines and helmet details.
