Roasted Pita Ingredients
Ingredients for Pita Dough
20 gr. fresh yeast
1 + ¾ glass of warm water
1 tablespoon of granulated sugar
1 heaped tablespoon of yogurt
1 tablespoon of sunflower oil
4,5 – 5 water glass of flour
1 pinch of salt
1 tablespoon of butter – after cooking
Ingredients for Roasting
300 gr. ready roasted – roughly chopped
1 glass of cheddar cheese – grater
Mix water, granulated sugar and yeast and dissolve the yeast in the water.
Then add the yoghurt and sunflower oil and mix.
The flour is mixed in a deep bowl. Put it in a mixing bowl.
Make a well in the middle and add the yeast mixture and mix it with a fork first.
When the flour and yeast mixture is mixed a little, add the salt from the edges of the dough and knead well with your hands.
If your dough requires flour, flour it. Add and continue kneading.
Take the kneaded dough into a clean mixing bowl and set it aside to ferment for 45 minutes – 1 hour.
When your dough is fermented enough, roll it out into a round pita, fill it with roasting and cheddar cheeses.
Throw your baking tray into the oven preheated at 200 degrees, then take your pitas and bake them for 20 – 25 minutes.
After taking the pitas from the oven, add 1 teaspoon of butter piece by piece.
slice Serve with a pita bread.
Note:
If you wish, you can also crack an egg on your pita.
