Ingredients for Sfakianopites Recipe

For the dough

  • 500 g flour
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1/2 glass of water
  • 1/4 cup of milk
  • 1 teaspoon of salt

For the stuffing

  • Cheddar and curd cheese mix
  • Very little cinnamon (Optional)

For serving

  • Honey
  • Parsley< /li>
  • Garlic
  • Olive Oil

How to Make Sfakianopites?

  • Knead all the ingredients for the dough in a bowl and knead 1 Let it rest for an hour.
  • Pull 60 g pieces from the rested dough and roll them out.
  • Open it a little larger than the tea plate on the floured counter and put the stuffing filling in the middle and close it like a bundle, then roll it again on the counter and open it to the size of a dessert plate. Cook it upside down with a little olive oil in a fireproof pan.
  • For serving, mix the parsley, garlic and olive oil in a bowl. (You can determine the amounts)
  • Place the cooked pancakes on a serving plate, drizzle some honey on them while they are hot and serve hot by adding the parsley mixture.
