Ingredients for Stuffed Pastry with Chard

For the dough

  • 1 egg
  • 1 coffee cup yoghurt
  • 1 /2 coffee cups of vinegar
  • 1 tea glass of oil
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • Flour (As much as it takes) )

To open

  • Starch

For stuffing

  • 1 bunch of chard
  • 1 tea glass of rice
  • 2 large onions (Chopped for food)
  • 1/2 glass of olive oil
  • 1 /2 tea glass of raisins
  • 1/2 tea glass of currants
  • 2 tablespoons of dried mint
  • 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1.5 glasses of warm water

How to Make Stuffed Pastry with Chard?

< ul>Put the liquid ingredients required for the dough into a deep mixing bowl and mix them. Add the baking soda and salt. Then add the flour in a controlled manner and knead until you get a smooth dough as soft as an earlobe. Cover it and let it rest.Wash and drain the chard leaves and chop finely with the stems. Heat the olive oil in a pan and add the onions and fry them until they turn slightly pink. Continue frying by adding grapes, chard, salt, black pepper and granulated sugar. Lastly, add the washed rice, water and mint and cook. After the water is absorbed, take it from the stove and let it brew.Divide the rested dough into tangerine-sized balls. Open the meringues one by one with starch. Cut the dough you have obtained in half and spread the filling you prepared on the wide side of the dough lengthwise, wrap it in the form of a roll, turn it around itself and place it on a greased baking tray. Spread olive oil on them and bake in a preheated 180 degree oven. Serve hot or warm.
