The idea for these cookies is based on an edible version of a full-size garden stepping stone Hungry Happenings – Cookies ‘n Cream Fudge garden stones. It put me on the path to making more three-ingredient edible stones.

The goal is to make something fun and festive for every holiday you celebrate. Today on Mother’s Day let’s do something for mom.
- 18-24 store bought or baked Sugar Cookies (I made 18 (3 1/2 inch cookies))
- 1 cup Betty Crocker Hershey’s Cookies ‘n’ Cream Frosting*
- Optional: 1 or 2 Oreo cookies
- Sweets to decorate cookies
*You could also just mash some Oreo cookies into white icing.
Instructions for making Garden Springboard Cookies
Step 1
Place the cookies on a cooling rack placed over a piece of cookies parchment or wax paper.
step 2
Open your can of Cookies ‘n’ Cream Frosting and stir in the crumbs. If you would like a darker shade of gray for your garden stone cookies, mash up another Oreo cookie or two and stir them into the frosting.
step 3
Pour glaze into a microwave-safe bowl. Heat on high for 20 seconds, then stir. Heat for another 20 seconds, then stir. If the icing is thin enough to pour, it’s done, if not, heat in 10-second increments, stirring after each one, until done.
step 4

Pour the icing over the cookies, spreading with a spoon if necessary. You may need to reheat the glaze as you work. Let the frosting set for about 20 minutes.
step 5

Now the kids can have fun decorating their cookies with candies to make them look like garden rocks.
The cookies will stay fresh for a few days if stored at room temperature. Place them in an airtight container to keep them from drying out.
