Don’t have a pork shoulder? You can slow cook pork tenderloin or pork tenderloin, although I would probably use pork tenderloin for this pork recipe. Pork needs to be at 195°F for it to fall apart.

If your store sells pork carnita meat, you can also use it for slow cooking. Who doesn’t love pork carnitas tacos?

Are flour or corn tortillas better for pork tacos?

Whether you use flour or corn tortillas is up to you. I love the flavor of the corn tortillas in this pork taco recipe because it makes them taste like traditional street tacos.

Don’t like corn tortillas? Use flour tortillas! Don’t like soft flour tortillas or corn tortillas? You can also use crunch taco shells.

Don’t have cumin and oregano spices on hand? You can also add a taco seasoning mix. I usually add when I’m shredding meat, leaving some liquid in so the spices mix well.
