Ingredients for Unleavened Bread Recipe

  • 3 glasses of flour
  • 1 tea glass of milk
  • 1 tea glass of water
  • 1 tablespoon of oil
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 1.5 teaspoons of salt

For the topping:

  • Sesame
  • Poppy seeds

How to Make Unleavened Bread?

  • Into an empty bowl First, add 2 and a half cups of flour. Then add milk, oil, salt, water and baking powder.
  • Mix all the ingredients and start kneading. Then add the remaining half glass of flour and knead again.
  • After mixing the ingredients and collecting the dough, keep it aside.
  • Use a baking mold between 18-22 cm in the meantime. After flouring and oiling the mold, place the dough into the mold.
  • Smooth the top and edges with a spatula. Finally, sprinkle sesame or poppy seeds on it.
  • Bake the dough in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 35-40 minutes.

For Making Braided Bread;

  • Divide the dough into two equal parts and shape the pieces with your hands.
  • Make sure that both pieces are of equal length and thickness.
  • glue them together. Then cross the pieces over each other.
  • Finally, when you come to the bottom, glue the pieces together as you did at the beginning.
