Ingredients for Vareniki Recipe
- 280 g flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 120 g milk, warm
- 2 tablespoons of oil
- 1 teaspoon of salt
For the mortar;
- 400 gr potatoes
- 2 onions
- 100 g milk, hot
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
For serving ;
- 2 branches of green onions, chopped
- 1 onion
- 1 tablespoon of powdered sugar
- Salt
- Black Pepper
How to Make Vareniki?
- Combine all the ingredients for the dough and knead. Leave the dough to rest on the side.
- Boil the potatoes in salted water for the mortar.
- Crush the boiled potatoes with milk, add salt and pepper to taste.
- Put the oil in the pan and fry the onion until it turns brown.
- Add the roasted onions to the potato mixture and leave the mortar to cool.
- Open the rested dough and cut into circles. Close it by putting the mortar inside.
- Boil in boiling water.
- Fry the onion with powdered sugar for serving.
- Serve by sprinkling onions and green onions on the boiled ones.
