Ingredients for Pumpkin Rice Recipe
- 300 g pumpkin (diced)
- 1 onion (diced for food)
- 2 glasses of basmati rice
- 2 glasses of cold water
- 1 glass of milk
- 4 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 tablespoon of butter
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1 teaspoon of turmeric
How to Make Pumpkin Rice?
- First of all, put the oils in a large saucepan. Wait for the fat to melt over medium heat.
- Put the chopped onions in the oil and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add the pumpkin slices cut like a backgammon membrane on it.
- The rice is in hot salted water. After waiting, washing and straining, add it on the pumpkins.
- Mix the water and milk in a bowl. Add into the mixture from the side of the pan.
- Add salt, black pepper and turmeric and mix gently.
- Close the lid of the pot. Cook on medium heat until the water is absorbed.
