Suleymaniye Soup Ingredients
3 tablespoons of olive oil
1 tablespoon of butter
1 onion – finely chopped
1 small carrot – grater
1 small potato – grater
1 small zucchini – grater
2 cloves of garlic
1 tablespoon of flour
1 glass of red lentils
5+ 3 glasses of hot water
Salt
Black pepper
Ingredients for Meatballs
100 gr. ground beef
Salt
Black Pepper
1 tablespoon of butter
Put your soup pot on the stove and heat it up.
Add olive oil and butter to it and melt it.
Finely chopped onion Add to your pot and sauté until soft.
Add grated carrots, potatoes and zucchini to your pot and mix.
Add finely chopped garlic and mix.
Add flour on your vegetables and fry them.
Add the red lentils you have soaked, mix one round and add 5 glasses of water.
Mix your soup for one turn and close the lid and cook on low heat until the vegetables are lightly cooked.
For the meatballs;
Add ground beef, salt and pepper to a mixing bowl and knead well.
Take marble-sized pieces from the meatballs and roll them in your hands.
Prepare all the dough in this way.
Heat your pan on the stove and cook your meatballs in it.
When your meatballs turn color, add butter to it. Add and mix well.
To combine;
Add and mix the cooked meatballs into your soup
Then add 3 glasses of hot water, salt and pepper.
15 minutes Cook on low heat with the lid closed.
